NSU Distance Delivery Information for Remote Students
Using a DDN Classroom
Please contact your local site regarding access
to the building and DDN room. If you have not attended or operated a DDN
room, then please arrange for training at your local site. The local
sites have been contacted and have approved delivery of this NSU course.
You will be responsible for the operation of the cameras and mics in the
room. You will NOT have a local operator. We recommend that you have a
phone available during the conference.
Please obtain any other local site personnel phone numbers that you need
if problems develop.
The South Dakota DDN Help number is 1-800-567-8345. (Use this when your site has problems).

Playing back a Previous Class with Streaming WindowsMedia
Each NSU distance course is recorded and saved or archived as a WindowsMedia file. By using the latest WindowsMedia player these files will stream well over a high speed network. The files may also be downloaded to your computer.

On this web site select the desired course number (CGPS 742) from the “NSU Distance Delivery Media Links” section.
Then select a “Stream File” of the desired class date. This works well on a high speed or cable network.
Or select a “Download
File” (cgps761_10.27.2004.rm), which works well on slower
or dialup networks and allows you to save the file to your hard drive
for future use.
Please contact your local computer tech. support to see if a firewall
would block the RealOne player signal.
